The Foundation of the International Chopin Piano Festival in Duszniki-Zdrój
was established in 1989, with the aim of maintaining and developing Chopinic traditions dating from the mid-19th century. Today, it pursues this goal in an valuable manner, continuing the work of its predecessors. The Foundation organises the International Chopin Piano Festival in Duszniki-Zdrój and collects archival materials, photographs and commemorative medals. It also archives concert recordings on digital video and audio tapes. The foundation has recently released a publication on the history of Chopinic traditions in Duszniki-Zdrój, written by historians and musicologists.
